Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t the only one who isn’t afraid of sharing. It seems that this trait runs deeply in the Smith family. Because Red Table Talk is a safe space for sharing, and as we learnt so much about Jada, we not have the opportunity to learn about Willow as well. And now the star revealed that she is bisexual, and that she wouldn’t be against a polyamorous relationship.
Red Table Talk is one of the most genuine shows nowadays. It’s like a talk show where you can openly and freely talk about whatever subject you want, with no judgment whatsoever. In the past, a lot of guests shared a lot of their insecurities, and host Jada herself opened up about marriage struggle or love problems.
And while some of Jada’s revelations were quite shocking, they were also necessary. Because it’s important to let people know that celebrities go through the same problems.
And Willow, Jada and Will Smith‘s daughter, has shared quite a lot of herself on the show, too. She discussed several issues teenagers encounter. And now, during the episode, she shared that she wouldn’t mind being in a polyamorous relationship. The episode focused on “unconventional relationships” and having multiple partners.
To which Willow revealed that she wouldn’t mind being in a relationship with a man and a woman at the same time.
During the show, Jada mentioned that Willow has been reading up on polyamory, the practice of having multiple partners who are committed to each other. And to that, Willow, 18 years old, replied that: “I couldn’t see myself in a quadruple, I mean, anything could happen. Personally, male and female, that’s all I need.”
Adrienne Banfield Norris, the co-host of the show and Jada’s mother, revealed that that thought would make her feel uncomfortable. But Jada was very supportive of her daughter. “Listen, you know me, Willow, whatever makes you happy… I always tell her, never be afraid. You have to live who you’re not to know who you are.”
And then Willow admitted that she likes both men and women. “I love men and women equally. So I would definitely want one man and one woman.” However, she wanted to emphasize the fact that the polyamorous relationships aren’t just about sex. “If your intention is just to have sex all the time with whoever you want, that doesn’t sit well with me. That’s not aligned with my purpose.”
While this conversations are a bit shocking and taboo right now, it’s important that people have enough information to know exactly what’s best for them. And Red Table Talk might change lives.
